A real AI answer report: five questions about BotView, checked twice
We asked three discovery questions and two questions naming BotView, then repeated each once. BotView was absent from all six discovery answers. The four branded answers used its name, but one had no citations and some made incorrect claims.

Branded answers citing botview.app; the other match was uncertain
This is a BotView self-assessment, not an independent review or a consumer ChatGPT ranking. The questions are our own, not measured customer query volume. The commercial-page changes described below were not live during these runs.
What needed correcting
- Both pricing answers incorrectly gave the Free plan three AI answer checks. It includes zero AI answer checks and three crawler scans. Current plans.
- One comparison claimed BotView monitors answers across engines. Paid answers use OpenAI only; crawler access checks cover multiple bots.
- Both budget answers claimed OtterlyAI Lite includes seven engines. Its pricing page lists four, with others as add-ons.
- Some sources were unrelated to the adjacent recommendation. One answer mixed human accessibility checks with crawler checks; another ended mid-bullet. A completed request is not a quality guarantee.
GEO means Generative Engine Optimization; two answers expanded it incorrectly. We reviewed these visible errors against our product and the cited vendor pricing. Other third-party claims in the raw answers remain unverified. Review was assisted by an AI coding agent; no independent human sign-off is claimed.

Review note: The seven-engine Lite claim repeats. OtterlyAI’s current pricing page lists four included engines. BotView is absent. The added research citation does not verify the tool prices.

4. What does BotView at botview.app offer for AEO and GEO reviews? Verify its current free, Pro and Agency prices, AI answer allowances and analytics limitations.Branded — explicitly names BotView · two runs
Run 1
Review note: The paid prices and answer allowances match BotView pricing. Two claims are wrong: GEO means Generative Engine Optimization, and the Free plan includes zero AI answer checks (three crawler scans). A diagnostic cannot ensure indexing or representation in AI answers.

Run 2
Review note: The same GEO expansion and free-answer allowance errors recur despite citations to BotView pricing. Free includes zero AI answer checks. The indexing assurance is unsupported; the actual product observes access and selected answers.
Original model output below. Includes errors; not verified buying advice.
5. Compare BotView at botview.app with OtterlyAI for a UK small business choosing an affordable AI visibility tool. Explain price, answer allowance, cadence, engine coverage and which use case fits each.Branded — explicitly names BotView · two runs
Run 1
Review note: The answer names BotView but supplies no citation annotations. The product therefore marks the business match uncertain. Its cadence paragraph describes crawler scans; paid AI answers are run manually. This is not independently sourced proof of recommendation quality.
Original model output below. Includes errors; not verified buying advice.
A matching name appears, but the answer does not clearly identify your business. Review the original evidence.
No sources cited.
Run 2
Review note: The answer cites BotView and OtterlyAI, but wrongly claims BotView monitors answers from multiple engines. BotView runs OpenAI API answers only; its multi-crawler checks are a separate feature. GBP conversions were generated by the model and are not our prices.
Original model output below. Includes errors; not verified buying advice.

What we will change and measure
Make the free-versus-paid allowance explicit, update the old diagnostics-only comparison pages, and publish a sourced budget comparison. These are clarity fixes. This sample does not prove what caused missing mentions or that the edits will change later answers.
Repeat the same questions after the pages have been recrawled. Compare answers and sources separately from search impressions, referrals and completed scans. Directory listings and independent reviews remain separate distribution work.
Method and downloadable evidence
Captured 2026-09-08T21:27:25.875Z–2026-09-08T21:28:45.281Z. Ten completed question-runs through the shipped staging assessment and rerun workflow; one subject, five authored questions, two runs per question.
Model: gpt-4.1-mini-2025-04-14. English, approximate location GB; required web search, low context, at most one tool call, 800 output tokens, no automatic provider retries. Each request starts a fresh answer context. Full questions, instructions, source annotations and result labels are included in the export.
Repetition does not guarantee the same result. The two runs were minutes apart; they do not establish longer-term visibility or represent other models. All results are included. Account IDs and session information are omitted from the public export.
